Hi ! So if you follow me on instagram, a lot of you already know that I spent this last Sunday locked in a hotel room by the beach, sorting, organizing and planning for this year.
I feel like there are two very different ways that life can go when you get home from vacation. One way - you pretend that you're still on vaca and you end up diving into a harsh 2 week food and alch bender. Second way - You get your shit together. FAST.
Here's the thing with vaca's though. If you're busy like me, you realize that you go 1000 miles an hour to a dead STOP. And that includes your BOD. Working out? NAH, thanks though. Margaritas by the pool? Make that 5. Chips and salsa and warm tortillas dipped in quesso for no god damn reason. You betcccha.
I want to show you guys an example of a totally obtainable HEALTHY grocery list that will feed you for the week, UNDER 60 bucks. (These are my Trader joe's finds, but you can find other things that are similar at a grocery store near you!)
Finding a good book that I can actually learn from and enjoy is like GOLD to me! I love getting great recommendations and finding that they actually are worth the read SO I wanted to pull together my top 4 books and pass them along to you!
I want to give you some insight on what to do so that you don’t waste your time, some of the websites that have inspired me, how to grow your blog quickly and the work that you need to put it to run a blog from home!
So if working from home is something that you're striving for or if it is something that you have achieved but can't figure out how to ignore the welcoming distractions...here's a break down of how i've managed to work from home, & actually get ish done.
I want to be able to be myself wherever and whenever I want. I actually suck as trying to fake that I’m anything else. But now that I have been living in LA for about 3 years I’m noticing that there’s so many “rules”. “You can’t dress like that here”, “you can’t talk to these people like that”, “you have to look good at all times” “If it doesn’t have X amount of likes then you need to delete it”.
Feeling lost + feeling like a failure + feeling like your entire life is out of control is a recipe for depression. It'll make you not even want to try, or think. It will make you focus on everything else that could possibly be negative in your life. It will lower your confidence while raising your insecurities and make you like you're being attacked.
This time two years ago I think I was just like a lot of other girls out there. Single, too busy for a boyfriend & left every attempted date with a story…& usually not a good one. Like the guy who forgot to bring his credit card to the bar that he invited me to. Or the guy that took me on a hike and talked about himself the entire time. Then there were the guys in clubs that thought I wanted to strike up a conversation over the bass.
Is it just me or does anyone else feel like Britney Spear’s “I’m not a girl, not yet a woman” song is starting to be a lot more relevant? Personally I feel like there’s a weekly struggle between “spend more quality time with my friends” & “spend all my time building a business for myself.”
I’m almost always a very positive, happy, stress free person but, give me a couple weeks of nothing but work and dead lines on my mind and I become this quietly stressed, drained, empty shell of a human being… too far?
Do you SUCK at using your time wisely? Like you know you have 839 things to do but you get a new camera app and take pictures of flowers on your porch for an hour instead? Or when you’re supposed to go to the gym but you want to get some motivation then next thing you know you went on Pinterest starting at workout fitsperation and ended up at small, quote, ankle, tattoo ideas…….?
Guys, How easy is it to get lost in your own head? Seriously. I know for me at least sommmmetimes, I start thinking all sorts of weird negative stuff that honestly, I don’t even want to get into right now because i’m in such a good mood. But
