Over the last few months I finally have started working on something that I’ve been thinking about wanting to do for YEARS.
I’ve always known that my passion is within health and wellness but it wasn’t until I started giving little tips and sending out meal plans (I used to send out full on meal plans just via word document from my yahoo email…lol!) that I realized that regardless of the way something looks, people have been INTERESTED.
More people than I ever would have imagined are looking for a change and the part that makes me excited is when my friends or girls on the other side of the COUNTRY who I’ve never actually met tell me that they’ve seen a positive change in their life, and how they FEEL based off of a piece of advice I gave!
That’s insane to me and it’s also the ultimate reward. SO. With that said,
I AM OFFICIALLY LAUNCHING MYSELF AS A HEALTH COACH!
Between work and relationships and responsibilities and just the everyday demands of LIFE, us woman are thinking about wanting to transform our bodies almost daily but are stuck in a rut when it comes to making it work.
What I’ve come to realize though is that it’s not that women are unaware of what they NEED to do for themselves. That part seems to be pretty clear amongst most. Woman know what to eat, what not to eat, when to stop eating, and so on but the part that’s hard is BREAKING THE CURRENT HABITS.
95% of our behavior occurs out of habit whether it’s a good habit or a bad one and THAT’S why we struggle to make changes even when the need for change is obvious and our intentions are strong.
THAT’S A PROBLEM.
And all the diet industry can seem to offer us is “eat fewer calories and exercise more”. Well, if that was supposed to work, I think it would have by now. I think at this point we all know that straight up dieting doesn’t work, which is why 98% of DIETERS, always gain their weight back. The part that they’re missing is SUPPORT & ACCOUNTABILITY.
Doctors and dietitians can help people find what they’re looking for, but they may not have the time or the skills to help people stay motivated and follow through to get a long lasting result. SO people end up going back to their old ways even when they know that those habits make them feel sick, unconfident and overall disappointed.
Without any help it’s really easy for these destructive cycles to continue for years.
